Hearing Aid Loop System Operates in this Building
People with hearing loss often struggle to catch the words and softer sounds during Mass. With the echo in most churches even people with normal hearing have trouble understanding the spoken word. The new Induction Loop System gives people a distinct advantage in these circumstances—it works with the individual’s t-coil equipped hearing aids. The sounds is broadcast through a wire installed in the church. The t-coil in the hearing aid of the listener is the receiver. While the listener is located within the field created by the loop wire, the t-coil in the hearing aid will receive the signal from the loop. Individuals with any type and degree of hearing loss and any t-coil-equipped hearing aid can take advantage of this Loop technology. Background noise and echo are no longer a problem.
To make sure everyone can take advantage of the new system, Peg Sass-Simon the Audiologist from the Hearing Wellness Center in Spring Lake, is available to check and adjust parishioner’s hearing aids. You can schedule a no-charge appointment at her office by calling (231) 798-2323.
